So, the New York Yankees have lost the American League Championship Series and were knocked off the postseason. Being a Yankees fan it is very disappointing. Many of my New York Mets fan friends were celebrating this loss as if it was a victory for them. To me, it is comical that the team you root for is so dreadful that you take pleasure in other team’s loss. I mean, should they not be worried about how to make their own team better? If it was divisional rival, I could understand that you don’t want your divisional rival to do better than you. But the Mets are not even in the same league as the Yankees. Does it not make someone a bad person if his/her neighbor’s failure gives him/her pleasure, even when his/her neighbor did nothing wrong to him/her?
