1. Rabo is a man of many old stories and who loves to look back at the past.
2.
a. Between Paul and Rabo exist some kind of jealousy, i can say who exactly staretd it, but i know this for sure, Paul is the one with the envy and the hate.
b. Others like Berman and White and her daughter Celeste have other opinions. Like Allison thinks that he should have taken time to call her Allison instead of the cook, while Berman thinks he is old fashion, lack modern day behavior and talks too mush of the past.
3.
a. I think that Rabo realized that he is around seventy three and he is more prepairing for death than any think, because he feels that no one respect the living and their many stories, but care more for the dead who lost their lives at the hands of the turks and the nazi.
b. I would call him "old timer" because he specks of the past so much.
c. I arrived at that assessment base on Rabo behavior throught out the book, from the beginning his action is like a grand father telling stories of old and how it impact him and his judgement.
4.
a. Berman remodeling the foyer is intense because by the time rabo grewup and learn to appreciate thinks Dorothy and the kids had already left him and move on with their lives. And dear Edith on the other hand love him so much she choose to have the foyer just the way he liked it, plain and boring, so i can say that maybe Dorothy didn't please him enough or he just love and appreciate Edith assest and her work more.
b. Because of his love for plain and simple he was not happy with that hip style that Berman was bring to the foyer. he thinks mainly that her style didn't match his personilty and no one should touch what Edith did for him.
