ekphrastic insight

as this class has progressed ive come to have a better appreciation for the not readily obeservable art around me. a few days ago i found my self staring at the back of a dollar bill and debating with my self on whether this could be considered art. after a minute or to i thought "yes it is art". i think art is anything that elicits any curiosity in an observer.one of the things i noticed on the back of the dollar bill is the pyramid with the eye on top. that picture has been displayed many other places so i cant say thats where it originated from. this poem below is what came to my mind after looking at the art on the dollar.

Cyclops

Where is your other eye

And with your corners of four

Your cousin to an obelisk

Ever watching

Can you hear my thoughts

Lacking ears and lips

So I presume you judge

Everything that you survey

Let me stand beside you

Statuesque

Your flesh is stone
