Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (and to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum. a raisin in the sun vs. bluebeard
A raisin in the sun vs. bluebeard, as i compare a raisin in the sun vs. bluebeard my main focus is what i learn after reading the two novels. In bleubeard there were many flashbacks, like the writer would often reflect on a episode in the main character past, while in a raisin in the sun its more of he said "........... " she said "............." but even with all the he said, she said i can still read it more clearly because the follow of play to my mind is easer understood than a regular flashback novel like bluebeard. the play a raisin in the sun was much more entertaining to read than bluebeard . In conclusion a raisin in the sun and many other plays that i have read had better story line and even historical backgrounds that are very significant, while books like bluebeard have too many dreams and make believes that often turn me off, with the main character moving from poverty to riches with out a very clear explanaton on how he got his hands on the money.
