The movie raisin in the sun was almost the same as the book. Few of the scenes were deleted but they didn’t make that much of a difference. When the movie started I didn’t like the acting of the people who were playing different parts. Although one character I really liked was of Lena, she was bold smart and strong, she was the boss of the family in other words it was a matriarch household. She was the reason the whole family was together and living in one shelter. The movie and the book both portray the importance of education, like in the case of Beneatha she wanted to be a doctor and she was always ready to defense her future whenever somebody in her family and her boyfriend were trying to talk her into doing something else. Walter’s character was very interesting too; he was always looking a way to make easy money, by pulling out some schemes and plans. He was bolstering his dreams on the money of his death father. However, in the end after losing all the money he realized that how wrong he was and there is something much more important in life than money and that is dignity.
