I expected something to happen after I watched "A Rasin in the Sun" movie. Maybe it would sound weird, but I thought that the flower Mama took care of was suppose to bloom at the end of the film. The flower was mentioned in some scenes as it signifed peace and stability in the family. No matter what bothered or worried them, they were able to get by
any situation. Mama looked for her flower before something upsetted the family or her. For example, after Mama had it in the beginning of her appearance, a scene showed where she was angry at Walter for not talking to Ruth as she decided to get rid of her pregnancy. For another example, before Mr. Linder upsetted the family, Mama took care of her flower before she left out of the house. When the family decided to move into a new home, the last scene showed that Mama brought the plant with her before her and the family moved.
The economy is affecting the American dream to pursue careers. Not everyone are able to go to college as other people can. Regardless, if some of them have a high school diploma or a GED, their careers ends too soon. In my opinion, it seems as if families with small incomes are able to go to college more than families with higher incomes. Unless a person in a family has a lot of money in their income, he or she can only do is to pay for college by getting a scholarship. However, it is so difficult that most people look forward to jobs that pay by the minimiun wage than have scholarships.
